The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree has been a New York holiday tradition for over seventy years. Exceptional porcelain artists in Limoges, France have captured this magical holiday spirit with an exquisite hand painted Limoges Box depicting Rockefeller Center's giant Norway Spruce with lights. (There are exactly 30,000 multi-colored lights on the actual tree!) The familiar wire sculptures of herald angels with trumpets and white lights are in the foreground. Rockefeller Center is in the background, with the statue of Prometheus seen in front of the tree. A bright Christmas tree is painted inside. This beautiful box is signed on the bottom Laclaire, Peint Main, Limoges France.
